Crypto trackers are excellent at crypto and blind to the rest. Finance apps are the reverse: a Coinbase balance if you are lucky, a typed-in quantity if not, and no idea what a liquidity-pool position is. If your net worth is a wallet, an exchange, a DeFi position and also a brokerage, a house and a mortgage, you need the short list where both halves are real.
Four questions sort this list. Does it read wallets by address, and on which chains? Does it understand DeFi positions, staking and NFTs, or only coins on an exchange? Does it also hold stocks, property, bank accounts and debts, so the number at the bottom is your net worth and not your crypto net worth? And does it do tax, which is a different job that one tool rarely does well with the others.
Matrix of seven crypto-capable trackers against six criteria
Seven tools, sorted by how much of your net worth they can see
Kubera

20+ exchanges (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken and others), Ledger and Trezor, 18 chains by wallet address including Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Cosmos and Cardano, DeFi positions on Ethereum, BSC and Polygon, NFTs, staking and lending, with stablecoins treated as cash. Two cards: a crypto tracker shows $348,000 of crypto; Kubera shows the same crypto inside a $1.33M net worth
Two tools, not one
Nobody on this list does everything. The DeFi-native trackers read more chains and protocols than Kubera does, and the tax tools produce reports Kubera never will. The honest setup for most people with serious crypto and serious everything-else is two tools: Kubera for the balance sheet, where the wallets and exchanges sit next to the brokerage, the house and the mortgage and the number at the bottom is real, plus CoinTracker or Koinly at tax time. If crypto is nearly all of your wealth, CoinStats alone may be enough until it is not.
Why the finance apps undercount you
Empower holds crypto as a quantity you typed, priced every eight hours, with no exchange or wallet connection, which is why it is not on this list. Copilot and Monarch connect to exchanges but not to self-custody wallets beyond a BTC or ETH address, do not read DeFi positions, and are US-only on the bank side. For a holder with a hardware wallet and a few positions on Arbitrum, those apps show a fraction of the real number. Kubera reads the wallet, the chain and the protocol position, treats the stablecoins as cash, and puts the total on the same line as the index funds.
Holders who wanted crypto next to everything else
“Kubera Black is an outstanding wealth management platform; powerful, intuitive, and secure. It seamlessly aggregates multi-currency portfolios, crypto, real estate, and alternative assets into a single dashboard.”
“Instead of spending hours updating balances and tracking investments, Kubera automates everything, giving me a clear, real-time view of my finances in one place.”
Kubera reads DeFi positions on Ethereum, BSC and Polygon alongside everything else you own. CoinStats, CoinTracker and Koinly cover more protocols and chains but track crypto only.
Does Kubera do crypto tax reports?
No. Kubera tracks balances, positions and history and computes IRR per position; for tax reports use CoinTracker or Koinly alongside it.
Can Kubera read a hardware wallet?
Yes. Ledger and Trezor connect, and any wallet on 18 supported chains can be added by public address.
Are stablecoins counted as cash?
In Kubera, yes: stablecoin balances are treated as cash on the balance sheet.
I've used tons of net worth tracking apps. Kubera is my favorite by FAR. I have zero affiliation. I'm pretty sure it's a tiny team. But they've been launching so many cool features and are moving fast.
Kubera has proved to be the best product we’ve found for expats — both those moving to the United States and Americans moving abroad — to manage their global investments and track them in the currency of their choice.
